Additional Inspection Services

When the concentration of radon gas climbs to unsafe levels in a home, it’s unlikely that anyone will notice—and that’s a big problem. Radon is an odorless and invisible cancer-causing gas that forms underground over long periods of time due to the natural decay of certain elements. The gas is slowly released from the ground, where it can then enter a home through small structural openings. To protect your family from the dangerous effects of radon exposure, we strongly recommend scheduling this inspection service before buying a home so that you’re aware of any need for radon mitigation.

This inspection service will assess a home for structural damage that has been caused by an infestation of termites or other wood-destroying insects. Often, this damage appears superficial but can in fact extend deep into the structure, so it’s important to have the home evaluated by a professional before you close on a purchase.

Many older homes in New Jersey relied on underground oil tanks to supply the home’s heating system. This way of heating eventually became obsolete, but unfortunately, many of the tanks were simply abandoned. These tanks can deteriorate over time and leak contaminants into the surrounding soil—potentially causing a hazardous waste problem for new homeowners that can be extremely expensive to take care of. This inspection service will sweep the entire property for the presence of an underground oil tank.

Are sinks and tubs emptying too slowly? We use a special camera to scope the sewer line to visualize any blockages that are interfering with the plumbing system’s proper drainage. Finding and addressing such problems now can head off catastrophic and expensive repairs later.

A chimney is an important part of your home and should be inspected regularly by a professional. Potential problems can be identified by a licensed inspector before they become serious issues, which could lead to costly repairs or even cause the structure to collapse.
